Method
Basically, this method can be classified in the supercategory of hair removal methods with focused light. The name of the diode laser stands for the light wave of 808nm. The special feature of this method is probably that it treats individual hair roots very precisely and is therefore very careful but also gentle.
How does the 808 diode laser work?
The protein present in hair is responsible for hair to grow. This is the reason why most technologies are aimed at denaturing this protein. This is also the case with permanent* hair removal with laser. The diode laser is no different. It generates heat focused on the protein and destroys it.
Due to the precise wavelength of 808nm, the laser is able to transmit the light energy gently as well as specifically into the hair root. The starting point of the energy is in the handpiece of the diode laser and is emitted in the form of focused light.
The process eventually leads to heating of the hair root and the existing proteins are denatured. Accordingly, the hair is no longer supplied with nutrients and eventually falls out.
The diode laser concentrates purely on the areas of the body that are covered with hair papillae. Thus, the skin and tissue, including the hemoglobin present in the blood, are not affected by the laser energy.
How do I prepare for a treatment?
It is recommended that you refrain from methods such as waxing, sugaring and epilation for a period of at least 4 weeks before your first session. The main reason for this is that the connection between hair and hair root is essential for the result. Nevertheless, the area to be treated should be shaved 24 hours before the session.
Since your health and well-being are very important to us, we cannot treat areas with tattoos or pigment changes. However, these can be safely covered during the session and will no longer be a hindrance.
